Aren’t family just incredible. Its with a heavy heart that I find myself back at my desk this morning after a wonderful visit from mine – don’t get me wrong, I’m not saddened to be writing this or doing once more what I so love but rather from the very real ache I feel at things going back to normal after such a special time with my very special people!
I’m pretty sure the Mitchell’s felt exactly the same once Staci, Stephen & the kids who were out from Alabama Massachusetts to visit the folks, boarded their plane and waved their loved ones goodbye once more until their next visit.
Thanks to Ouma Christine this visit will linger a little longer because they gathered for a family shoot in Kirstenbosch early one morning just before heading home – 3rd time lucky mind you, due to the recent rains – but when we finally got there it was worth the wait, the sky’s eventually opened up and despite the chill we had some great fun in these breathtaking gardens. I can tell you its quite something being the first person through the gates – and feeling like the only person in this immense space on a wet and gloomy morning, I had some quite time to explore in absolute wonder before Aidan & Camilla and the rest of the family came to play!
